How this site is funded
Affiliate Disclosure
Istanbul Transportation Card Guide is free to use. Here’s how we keep it running, and how that does and doesn’t affect what we recommend.
Who we are
We are an independent guide to public transport in Istanbul. We are not affiliated with İBB (Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality), Metro İstanbul, İETT, Şehir Hatları or any other transport operator.
How affiliate links work
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and book a tour, transfer or ticket, the company may pay us a small commission. You pay the same price as you would if you went to their website directly.
Affiliate buttons on this site are labelled, open in a new tab and are marked as sponsored for search engines.
Who we work with
We are a partner of GetYourGuide. When you book through one of our GetYourGuide links, your booking, payment and any cancellations are handled by GetYourGuide under its own terms and privacy policy.
We also have a business relationship with Çukurcuma Hamamı 1831, a Turkish bath in Beyoğlu. Any article about it says so at the top, and links to its website are marked as sponsored.
Our editorial promise
- We recommend public transport first wherever it makes sense.
- We only add a bookable option when it genuinely helps, for example a late-night airport transfer or a guided tour for people who prefer one.
- Commissions and business relationships never change our transport advice, and we always tell you when we have one.
Cookies
When you click an affiliate link, the partner may set a cookie to record that you came from our site. GetYourGuide’s tracking script only loads on our site if you accept marketing cookies. See our Privacy Policy for details.
